How To Make a Relaxing Essential Oil Bath Salt and Feel Like Yourself Again
Lavender essential oil has been busy.
It had a very full to-do list over the past month, and barely got a chance to kick up its feet and relax.
Then Lavender realized it was feeling depleted . . .
As though it couldn’t keep its energy up, but also couldn’t relax enough to rest.
It couldn’t concentrate on its projects.
Its body felt a little tense all over.
And when it was time for bed, Lavender’s mind wouldn’t calm down. Its thoughts were going in circles!
Lavender needed to take some time to restore itself.
So it called its friend Black Spruce, and together they made a relaxing essential oil bath salt.
These are times when we might get a lot of support from a relaxing essential oil bath salt.
The bath salt recipe below is made with Lavender and Black Spruce essential oils.
You can use it before bed to help yourself feel settled after a busy day. The warm water will help ease tension from your muscles.
The Black Spruce essential oil will help get your energy flowing in a more nourishing way. Black Spruce is a great essential oil when you feel an ongoing sense of fatigue—but it’s not so energizing that you can’t use it before bed.
(I just LOVE Black Spruce essential oil! I even made a YouTube video all about it. The video teaches you facts about Black Spruce and three recipes, including one for natural cleaning!)
And the Lavender essential oil encourages your nervous system to feel calm and relaxed. Lavender is a sweet friend when you’re looking to restore your peace of mind, balance, and the deep knowing that “you got this.”
Lavender Spruce Love Relaxing Essential Oil Bath Salt
- 2 oz (56 g) pink Himalayan salt
- 1 tbsp castile soap
- 2 drops Lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia)
- 1 drop Black Spruce essential oil (Picea mariana)
Make this bath salt recipe in a 2 oz (60 ml) jar or bowl.
Put the salt into the bowl, then mix in the castile soap and the essential oils.
You can stir the salt gently, if you like.
Fill your tub with warm water, and use the entire 2 oz in the bath!
The reason I chose to use pink Himalayan salt in this relaxing essential oil bath salt recipe is because . . . it’s pink! That’s really why, I just love the color. You can use any kind of salt you like. Epsom salt or Dead Sea salt will work great!
If you want to make more of this so you can use it a few nights in a row, just keep it in a container that closes.
Enjoy your relaxing bath!
